Today I signed up Cash The Checks with Blogsvertise. This is another source for bloggers to make money with their blogs other than Google Adsense. The way it works is advertisers pay somewhere between $4-$25 for bloggers to make a post about their products and services. All you need to join is an active blog and a paypal account. I’ll be making some paid posts mixed in with my other posts from time to time, so I can capitalize on the whole pay-per-post system.

New Sponsor Added To Network
Tuesday May 29th 2007, 1:44 pm - Category: Making Cash

I added a new sponsor today that’ll be visible on some of my sites. The sponsor is Snorg Tees. These guys pay $5.00 per t-shirt sale. These ads will be added to any site that targets the 18-25 year old hip crowd such as any tech/gadget related sites or movie and music themed sites. I’m considering changing my Real Offensive Shirts site to 100% sponsor links instead of selling my own tshirt designs from Cafe Press. At $5.00 per shirt, I’d make more profit selling “Snorg Tees” and for less work, which is a plus.
You can sign up with Snorg Tees by first joining ShareASale.com which they use for link tracking, then joining the Snorg Tees affiliate program.

The Laws of Physics Applied to Life
Sunday May 20th 2007, 2:37 pm - Category: Motivation

The laws of physics & chemistry apply not only to objects, but to those things we cannot see, feel, or touch as well.
1. The law of Attraction.

The law of attraction states people experience the corresponding manifestations of their predominant thoughts, feelings, words, and actions and that people therefore have direct control over reality and their lives through thought alone.

2. The laws of Momentum.

Have you heard the expression: “When it rains, it pours”? It’s true. When playing poker, or in life, you have winning streaks. In basketball, players seemingly hit every shot, or miss every shot, in stretches. Sometimes all you need is one “thing” to happen, before you begin to obtain momentum.

3. What goes up must come down.

This isn’t necessarily true. While your momentum can slow down, you are in theory “going down” by slowing, or losing your momentum. But this law doesn’t say you can’t come right back up again, with the help of some momentum.

My Experience at Claim Jumper
Monday May 14th 2007, 10:30 pm - Category: Other

I went to eat at Claim Jumper today with my girlfriend. It was the first time I had ever been there. I’ve been to Chilli’s, Black Angus, and Outback Steakhouse, so I figure this would be similar. It turns out it’s about the same, just that the food is overpriced.

A salad we ordered arrived first. We were eating it, and it was real good. Then that’s when it happened, I pointed to what looked like a dark colored lettuce leaf or maybe half an olive. I couldn’t tell because there was a lot of dressing on the salad. That’s when my girlfriend spotted a dead moth in the salad. It was pretty bad. There was an apology from the waiter, then the manager, and a discount on the food, but nothing can make up for a moth in a half-eaten salad. Needless to say, that’s the last time I ever eat at a Claim Jumper.

Tips to Relieve Work-Related Stress
Thursday May 10th 2007, 9:58 am - Category: Business Ideas

1. Breathe. Take three breaths in and three breaths out.

2. Take a vacation. No, not a month-long vacation, but a 5 minute vacation. Just sit there and do nothing for 5 minutes. Don’t think about anything either. Take a break from the world.

3. Move slowly. Sometimes you’re rushed even though you have no reason to be. So slow down and do things slower.

4. Listen to music. This will free your brain up, because you’ll be humming your favorite tune instead of stressing your brain out.

5. Stretch out. Sitting in the same place or being in the same room can be stressful if you’ve been there for countless hours. Get out of the room or seat you’re in and stretch your neck and legs out, improve your blood circulation.

6. Put things into perspective. Whatever work-related stress issues aren’t life or death matters. So while they may be important at the time, it’s not the end of the world.

The US Prime Rate
Wednesday May 02nd 2007, 12:59 pm - Category: Cash Info

The Current Wall Street Journal Prime Rate is: 8.25%. You can always check the current status of the prime rate at http://www.wsjprimerate.us/

Now for a little background on Prime Rates.

Why is the prime rate important to me?
Well, if the U.S. Prime Rate has changed, and if you have a loan with an adjustable interest rate, your primate rate will also change, meaning your payments will change. This is especially important if you got an adjustable rate mortgage or if you own any variable rate credit cards.

How is the prime rate calculated?
The Wall Street Journal Prime Rate is determined by polling 30 large US banks. When 23 of the 30 have changed their “prime lending rate”, as it’s called, the WSJ updates their published prime rate
