By taking a shape, by having a visible plan, you open yourself to attack. Instead of taking a form for your enemy to grasp, keep yourself adaptable and on the move. Accept the fact that nothing is certain and no law is fixed. The best way to protect yourself is to be as fluid and formless as water; never bet on stability or lasting order. Everything changes.

The ultimate application of this is in death, as the author says in this book. Artists assume it through their work, authors through writing, messiahs through religion, politicians through policy. Another way to think of it is strategy beyond death; you have died, and become fluid.

This is so true. You can’t depend on anything being stable forever. If you keep all your cookies in the same cookie jar, the will come and snatch em all up with one try. Flexibility is the key.
