In the United States, playing poker online for money is illegal. This is because it’s considered gambling. But is it really gambling? In fact, poker games like Texas Hold ‘Em are skilled games where the best players usually win. But the definition of gambling implies that it’s a game of chance, like flipping a coin. So with his in mind, should playing poker be against the law?

The WSOP is the world’s last great gold rush. It’s where an average joe (who knows how to play poker) can invest $10,000 to play in the Main Event, and walk away with 10 million dollars. Even if you finish in 50th place you’ll walk away with hundreds of thousands. Each year, the field is growing larger and larger so the odds of winning are slim, but the last several years, absolute nobody’s have made it to the final table.

Poker’s the only “sport” where you don’t need great athleticism to be a success. Just the ability to read people’s hands all while keeping a poker face.
