Consider a package deal for your internet, cable and telephone service. When you bundle your items up you will always get a better deal than getting the services from different providers. Now that AT&T offers cable they have great deals when you get all your services through them. Even Time Warner Cable has good deals when you bundle your services with them.

You don’t need to get every one of their products to get a good deal, just 2 is good enough. Consider eliminating your home phone if you have a cell phone. Home phones require long distance plans while this is already included in your cell phone. Also consider getting high speed internet service, but you don’t need the extra fast speeds. Stick with the cheapest option, it’s most likely all that you need.

I pay $100 a month for cable / dsl / phone line. Too bad it’s just an introductory offer of a year. What’s good is that I can switch companies after that and get another “new customer” deal.

I have a pda-phone with windows mobile on it with a data plan. I can connect that to my laptop and via internet connection sharing use my phone’s network on my laptop to get high speed wireless for “free”. So I ended up canceling my DSL line and have never looked back.

what company was that?

It was Sprint. They charge $20/mo for their unlimited data plan. The only thing I don’t like is that my phone gets super hot after about 15 minutes.
